Spent the past Sunday in mellow Silver Lake and I felt very out of place, but it was a good experience still. Went for a very casual look, but it seemed I should’ve dressed even more casual than I thought. Went with a fun, way less-expensive Givenchy knock-off tank and some skinnies and sunnies for the typical California casual look.

For some unknown reason, I usually don’t like wearing or buying coats. Maybe it’s the SoCal girl in me, but this season I’ve had my eye on several coats, this one included. Love this baggy boyfriend look. Can’t wait for it to get a little chillier to pair this with a big flannel scarf.

Since I’m my sister’s Maid of Honor for her rapidly-approaching wedding in May, my mom and I had the task of planning and hosting her bridal shower. It turned out beautiful and a success!
With her wedding being in the spring, her color scheme includes a lot of corals, pinks and oranges which we also used as the theme of her bridal shower. My mom and I spent hours planning and setting up before the guests showed up for the main event, and here are some photos of the set up and the bride-to-be!

Can’t ever get enough of flannels! I went back and forth with myself for awhile before buying this extremely oversized flannel, but I’m glad I did. A no-fail way to make any outfit look not sloppy–a pair of heels. With the size of this flannel, it can easily become sloppy but as long as the rest of the outfit is clean, the flannel acts as a great statement piece.

Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s a day for love and it does not mean that you must have a significant other to partake in Valentine’s Day festivities. For the past couple of years, I’ve celebrated Valentine’s Day by getting my mom flowers to remind her I love her, and I have a significant other. Remind your loved ones that they’re on your mind, even if I do believe that they should be reminded everyday, not just on V-Day.
Anyway, whether or not you’ll be spending the night in or out, a pretty floral with a mini skirt + a great basic black heel will never do you wrong for a lovely little holiday like this one. Borrowed this skirt from one of my best friends and haven’t given it back yet…whoops, that’s because I love it!
