This is my favorite new sweater and of course it’s Free People. They just get it right. Almost every time. I love that this sweater is enough of an outfit on its own and I can just throw my hair up in a bun, especially in this rainy weather (happens so often!) and it still looks put-together. And my new favorite pumps–leopard! Yay. Dolce Vita. Always getting it right.

Although Christmas is my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving really kicks off the true holiday season. This year, my sister and brother-in-law are hosting our traditional Thanksgiving feast at their place in Oxnard so I’ve been here for a couple days. It’s nice to get away for a little bit and just spend some (kind of) relaxing time with family. We’re a pretty casual family when it comes to holidays, so I opted for a new TopShop t-shirt style dress since I’m not much of a pretty-dress girl anyway and a boyfriend blazer that keeps me nice and warm in the cold Oxnard weather.
This year, I’m especially thankful for my friends and family who have been there for me no matter what and thankful that I have a job and am healthy! Happy Thanksgiving everybody and remember to thankful everyday! 🙂

For some unknown reason, I usually don’t like wearing or buying coats. Maybe it’s the SoCal girl in me, but this season I’ve had my eye on several coats, this one included. Love this baggy boyfriend look. Can’t wait for it to get a little chillier to pair this with a big flannel scarf.

Love this look so much that I took an outfit of the day shot at work!

A day off of work calls for day for relax, right? Not necessarily, most of my days off are filled with homework and errands, but it’s not an excuse to dress like a slob. It’s still totally possible to be extremely casual and put-together just to run errands and have an off-day.

Since I’m my sister’s Maid of Honor for her rapidly-approaching wedding in May, my mom and I had the task of planning and hosting her bridal shower. It turned out beautiful and a success!
With her wedding being in the spring, her color scheme includes a lot of corals, pinks and oranges which we also used as the theme of her bridal shower. My mom and I spent hours planning and setting up before the guests showed up for the main event, and here are some photos of the set up and the bride-to-be!

Had plans to lay poolside with my best friend and decided to wear a feminine little tunic/dress (doubled as a pool cover-up!) with my brand new distressed denim vest for a fun, flirty feel! As much as I don’t usually wear dresses or anything extremely girly, I have been obsessed with this tunic that I decided to double as a dress for the day. It’s so light and airy, perfect for the hot weather!
