Typical Monday yesterday starting out the day with my PR internship at Shout Public Relations in Orange County. Managed to squeeze in a few shots of my outfit for the day before running off to work at Fashion Island as a newly-promoted manager at Rebecca Taylor. Crazy and hectic Monday as usual, but I’m getting accustomed and am excited for what’s ahead!

Had lunch with my bestie at Eat Chow in Costa Mesa on a nice day off and the place was so cute and the food was pretty tasty too! I was in the mood for a burger so I got their Chow Burger which was a twist on a standard burger. Victoria got the Truffle Mac and Cheese which is never a let-down and we topped everything off with Truffle Parmesan Fries which were HEAVEN.
My gosh, the fall semester is finally over and I’ve about just relaxed for this past week due to being burnt out on final schoolwork. Cannot WAIT until graduation in May! But now that I’m on winter break, I must and will try to post more consistently!
I’ve had this grey jacket for probably about five years and haven’t worn it in just about that long. I’m usually not a jacket type of person, but lately I’ve really come to terms with what a jacket does for an outfit. Decided to take this one out from the back of my closet and rediscovered why I bought it in the first place! It was an easy pull-together for a casual daytime outfit and a perfect jacket to keep me cute and warm for a night out.

This is my favorite new sweater and of course it’s Free People. They just get it right. Almost every time. I love that this sweater is enough of an outfit on its own and I can just throw my hair up in a bun, especially in this rainy weather (happens so often!) and it still looks put-together. And my new favorite pumps–leopard! Yay. Dolce Vita. Always getting it right.

Although Christmas is my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving really kicks off the true holiday season. This year, my sister and brother-in-law are hosting our traditional Thanksgiving feast at their place in Oxnard so I’ve been here for a couple days. It’s nice to get away for a little bit and just spend some (kind of) relaxing time with family. We’re a pretty casual family when it comes to holidays, so I opted for a new TopShop t-shirt style dress since I’m not much of a pretty-dress girl anyway and a boyfriend blazer that keeps me nice and warm in the cold Oxnard weather.
This year, I’m especially thankful for my friends and family who have been there for me no matter what and thankful that I have a job and am healthy! Happy Thanksgiving everybody and remember to thankful everyday! 🙂

Spent the past Sunday in mellow Silver Lake and I felt very out of place, but it was a good experience still. Went for a very casual look, but it seemed I should’ve dressed even more casual than I thought. Went with a fun, way less-expensive Givenchy knock-off tank and some skinnies and sunnies for the typical California casual look.

What better way to spend a Sunday morning than brunching? I’ve heard from many about Bottega Louie in downtown LA, but never made my way there. With a Sunday off of work, I decided to venture up to La La Land to check it out. I’ve seen countless photos of the macaron-filled glass case (and not gonna lie, I came out with a few photos of my own) and this Sunday, I got to see it for myself. It was a busy Sunday morning/afternoon in the perfectly naturally-lit great hall-like of a restaurant. There was lots of hustle and bustle and fancy waiters in all white. I definitely felt very bourgeois for the hour but it was a great experience! The food and drinks a little overpriced, but nothing not expected of a popular eatery downtown. We were sat after a quick wait and a couple sips of our mimosas. I went in knowing I wanted brunch food whereas my friends opted for a pizza option. While we waited for our food to arrive, we couldn’t help but take photos, especially with the perfect lighting!
I usually don’t like hollandaise sauce, but it looked so good on everyone else’s tables that I just went with it anyway. It was so delicious! Poached eggs are my favorite and the hollandaise sauce was not overwhelming at all.
Of course after we finished up, I had to take a gander at the pretty desserts. So many options that I wanted to inhale, but definitely couldn’t.
